Jail Visitor Information

VISITATION RULES:

  1. Visitors must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by their parent(s) or legal guardian.

  2. Visitors must present a photo identification from a State or Federal agency.

  3. Visitors must check in at the front window of the Sheriff's Office.

  4. Visitors are subject to be searched.

  5. Visitors must be properly dressed. Both adults and children must wear shoes at all times. No provocative clothing will be allowed.

  6. No personal items are allowed in the visitation room. This includes but not limited to cell phones, purses, food, drinks, tobacco products, etc. It is recommended that you leave all of your personal property in your vehicle. The Seward County Sheriff's Office is not responsible for any visitors personal property brought into the facility.

  7. Victims of a crime are not allowed visitation.

  8. Any disruptive behavior will be cause for terminating the visitation session and /or restriction on future visitation.

  9. No more than two (2) adult visitors per inmate will be allowed in the visitation room.

  10. Visitors are only allowed to have one (1) visit with one (1) inmate per day.

  11. Minor children must have adult supervision at all times.

  12. Children who are disruptive will be asked to leave and the visitation will be terminated.

  13. For the safety of the children, they are not to run in and out of the visitation room or climb/stand on chairs.

  14. Visitors will be denied visitation if there is reasonable grounds to believe that they may be a threat to the facility's security.

  15. If a custodial parent is incarcerated, the inmate's minor children will be allowed to visit if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  16. Visitors who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to visit.

  17. In the event of a tornado watch/warning, all visitations will be terminated and visitors will be asked to leave if there is not any immediate danger. The visitation period will not be rescheduled.

  18. Once a visitor leaves the visitation room, they will not be allowed back into the visitation room.

  19. Special visits are limited to those individuals who must travel 150 miles or more. Arrangements for special visits must be made at least 48 hours in advance and must be approved by the Director or designee.

  20. Messages will not be passed to inmates.

  21. NO visits on State recognized Holidays.

  22. Failure to comply with any visitation rules or regulations or orders by a Corrections Officer, Deputy, or SSO staff will be cause for termination of visitation privileges.

OFF-SITE VISITATION:

  • Additional off-site visits may be allowed based upon housing units.

  • All off-site visits will be charged.

  • Visitors will need to register online prior to their first visit and schedule all visits at: https://customer.cidnet.net/

ON-SITE VISITATION:

Monday- Friday             8:15 AM- 11:15 AM

                                         1:30 PM- 4:45 PM

  • Inmates are allowed up to two (2), one (1) hour blocks for on-site visits per week.

  • Visitors will need to register online prior to their first visit at:  https://customer.cidnet.net/

  • Visitors must sign up for a visit at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Only 1 visitor can sign up for a visit, but 1 guest can also attend the visit if they are on the inmate's visit list.

  • All persons wishing to visit must be on the inmate's visitation list and pre-approved by the jail before being eligible to visit.
